Angostura Bitters Pasta With Spinach And Sweet Peppers

  • 4 oz Dried pasta of choice
  • 3 tsp ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 med. Onions, finely diced
  • 3 tbsp Garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp Fine thyme
  • 2 cups Spinach, finely cut (You can substitute with the green part of the patchoi)
  • 1 Red sweet pepper, cut into strips
  • Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • Salt and fresh pepper


  • Cook the pasta of choice according to the instructions on the package
  • Drain well and set aside. In a medium saucepan heat the oil and sauté the onion and garlic until transparent
  • Next add the spinach, bitters, butter and the sweet pepper and toss for a couple of minutes
  • Finish with the addition of the thyme and the pasta, continue to toss until the pasta is coated and adjust the salt and pepper
  • Serve with grated Parmesan cheese
